Had 14 ladies for lunch Saturday. Cal and I worked our butts off getting the patio clean and spruced up. Those of you who have chickens know they tend to poop at will...anywhere they want. So of course I was worried. If I kept them in their chicken yard, they would complain loudly and disturb our meeting. Yet they seem to be drawn to a freshly washed and swept patios like moths to a flame.
We made the decision to let the girls stay out in the yard. After all, the ladies know we have chickens and some of them really like them.
Well I could not be prouder of Barbara and Mable. No pooping, no squawking, no coming onto the patio at all.
They were little feathered angels, chatting quietly in the background as we held our book club meeting and had lunch.
Love these girls.
